Dr. Hai-En Peng
Dr. Hai-En Peng was born in Nyack, NY and attended kindergarten there before moving to Oak Ridge, TN. After graduating high school, Dr. Peng went on to attend Emory University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry before getting accepting to the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, CA. He spent the next 4 years there and graduated in the top 15% of his class. He decided to stay in the Bay Area to complete a 3-year advanced surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.
While in residency, he met his beautiful wife Sandra while on break in LA. They have been happily married since 2004 and have 2 kids together, twins, 1 girl and 1 boy. They are currently in elementary school. Dr. Peng speaks conversational mandarin. He enjoys playing soccer and softball. He loves to eat and calls himself a “foodie”, always searching for great eats in the area. He enjoys doing photography on the side specializing in family portraits, head shots and covering events for the church he regularly attends.
Dr. Naz Mehr
Dr. Naz Mehr was born in Darmstadt, Germany and immigrated to the United States with her family at a young age where she attended grade school in northern Virginia. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Nutrition and Exercise from Virginia Tech. While earning her undergraduate degree she volunteered as an EMT with a local free clinic, earning firsthand medical experience and shadowing many specialties. She was accepted to the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA where she spent the next four years. She completed her three-year residency training in advanced reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in Kansas City, Missouri at Truman Medical Center. After a highly competitive application process, Dr. Mehr was accepted to and completed an intense year of fellowship training at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, GA. Her fellowship training gave her advanced training in minimally invasive techniques, peripheral nerve surgery, total ankle replacement, external fixation, and complex deformity correction.
Dr. Mehr is thrilled to be on the west coast practicing podiatric medicine alongside Dr. Peng. She is passionate about conserving the environment and enjoys being outdoors. Her hobbies include hiking, bouldering, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Dr. Mehr enjoys wine tasting and is looking forward to discovering new local favorites. She speaks conversational Farsi and understands German. Dr. Mehr believes in patient-centered care and understanding individual patients’ needs. She is committed to lifelong learning and offering the most state-of-the-art podiatric care to get you back on your feet.
